Sleeping Beauty

How I envy this woman.  She falls asleep for 100 years and then wakes up and Mr Perfect has found his way to her and got most of the wedding already organised.  He’s rich, he’s handsome and he can afford a nanny!  She’ll never have bags under her eyes.

Alas it’s not a true story so I’ll just have to stick with concealer for my bags.  In the meantime here are some fun things you can do with the kids this week to follow up after Story Storks.

SLEEPING BUNNIES – hours and hours and literally hours of fun to be had with sleeping bunnies!  It’s best if you just do the lying down bit and get the kids to do all the hopping.  Verses I know include

Sleeping Bunnies – hop hop hop

Sleeping Ponies – trot trot trot

Sleeping Crocodiles – Snap Snap Snap

I’m sure there are many more.  You can have fun making them up.  Ask little one the question ‘which animal is asleep and what noise do they make.’  That’s a very EYFS activity to be doing – it will make you a good mother!

GOLDEN PLATES – The fairies could only eat off golden plates.  Get some cheap paper plates and paint 12 of them a golden colour.  You could take it one step further and ask your little one what colour plate the evil fairy would have.

COUNTING – We start by singing 5 little speckled frogs which is great for counting.  Of course you can count to 12 using the fairy plates.
